Mesothelioma

Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is a rare, aggressive cancer causally linked to asbestos exposure in >80% of cases. The nivolumab + ipilimumab doublet (CheckMate 743) is first-line standard of care for unresectable MPM, with pemetrexed + cisplatin/carboplatin ± bevacizumab as the chemotherapy alternative. MTAP deletion defines a genomically actionable subset under active investigation.
