Rationale

Frontline non-small cell lung cancer relies on PD-1 inhibitors plus platinum chemotherapy. AVANZAR tests whether replacing chemotherapy with a TROP2 antibody-drug conjugate, combined with a PD-L1 inhibitor, improves outcomes across PD-L1 subgroups.

What It Could Change

Could introduce an antibody-drug-conjugate/immunotherapy doublet as a first-line standard in advanced non-small cell lung cancer, independent of PD-L1 status.
