Rationale

BCMA-directed CAR-T therapy produces deep responses in relapsed myeloma. CARTITUDE-5 tests whether a single, finite-duration cilta-cel infusion after induction can outperform continuous maintenance in the front-line, transplant-deferred setting.

What It Could Change

Could bring finite-duration CAR-T therapy into first-line myeloma treatment as an alternative to continuous maintenance for transplant-ineligible or transplant-deferred patients.
