EA2185 — Comparing high- versus low-intensity surveillance of pancreatic mucinous cysts

Not applicable · Pancreatic Cancer

Population

Adults with newly diagnosed pancreatic mucinous cysts (including IPMNs).

Primary Endpoint

Detection of advanced neoplasia

Rationale

Pancreatic cysts can progress to cancer, but the best surveillance interval is unknown — too frequent burdens patients and the system, too sparse misses cancers. EA2185 compares high- versus low-intensity surveillance.

What It Could Change

Could establish the evidence-based surveillance schedule for pancreatic cysts.
