A022101 / NRG-GI009 — Total ablative therapy added to systemic therapy for limited metastatic colorectal cancer (ERASur)
Phase 3 · Colorectal Cancer
Population
Newly diagnosed limited metastatic colorectal cancer (up to 4 metastases) responding to or stable on first-line systemic therapy.
Primary Endpoint
Overall survival
Rationale
Oligometastatic colorectal cancer is increasingly treated with local ablation of all visible disease, but randomized evidence that this extends survival — rather than just delaying progression — is lacking.
What It Could Change
Would confirm or refute whether aggressive local ablation of all metastatic sites improves survival in limited metastatic colorectal cancer.
