Newly diagnosed multiple myeloma with a suboptimal response (PR or VGPR) after autologous stem cell transplant.

Rationale

Patients who respond incompletely to transplant have a higher relapse risk on standard lenalidomide maintenance. KarMMa-9 tests whether early consolidation with BCMA-directed CAR-T therapy deepens responses and delays relapse in this front-line setting.

What It Could Change

Could introduce CAR-T cell therapy into front-line myeloma consolidation for patients with suboptimal transplant responses.
