Rationale

Surgery alone leaves many patients with resectable lung cancer at high risk of relapse. KEYNOTE-671 tests whether giving pembrolizumab with chemotherapy before surgery, then continuing it afterward, raises cure rates compared with chemotherapy alone.

Established perioperative pembrolizumab as a standard for resectable NSCLC; ongoing follow-up defines the long-term survival benefit.
