KEYNOTE-B96 — Pembrolizumab plus paclitaxel, with or without bevacizumab, for platinum-resistant recurrent ovarian cancer
Phase 3 · Ovarian Cancer
Population
Platinum-resistant recurrent epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer.
Primary Endpoint
Progression-free survival and overall survival (by PD-L1 CPS)
Rationale
Platinum-resistant ovarian cancer responds poorly to chemotherapy, and single-agent immunotherapy has so far failed to show benefit in ovarian cancer. KEYNOTE-B96 tests whether adding pembrolizumab to weekly paclitaxel — the current backbone — improves survival, and whether PD-L1 expression identifies the patients most likely to benefit.
What It Could Change
A positive result would establish the first immunotherapy-based regimen in the platinum-resistant setting, where effective options are scarce.
