ABBV-706 — Investigational Agent
Antibody-Drug Conjugate · Phase 3 · AbbVie
Mechanism of Action
ABBV-706 is an ADC targeting seizure-related homolog protein 6 (SEZ6), a cell-surface antigen highly expressed on small cell lung cancer and other high-grade neuroendocrine tumors with limited normal-tissue expression. The anti-SEZ6 antibody is conjugated to a topoisomerase I inhibitor payload via a cleavable linker. After SEZ6 binding and internalization the payload is released, producing DNA damage and apoptosis, with a bystander effect on adjacent tumor cells. SEZ6 offers a neuroendocrine-selective target distinct from DLL3.
