Mechanism of Action
Oncolytic type-5 adenovirus engineered to carry a transgene encoding a TGF-beta "trap" — a soluble TGF-beta receptor-Fc fusion that sequesters immunosuppressive TGF-beta in the tumor microenvironment. The virus selectively replicates in and lyses tumor cells (immunogenic cell death), while local TGF-beta neutralization relieves immunosuppression, converting a "cold" tumor into an inflamed one and potentiating checkpoint-inhibitor activity.
