Mechanism of Action
BGB-16673 is an investigational chimeric degradation activating compound (CDAC) that targets Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) for proteasomal degradation. It is a heterobifunctional molecule (PROTAC) consisting of a ligand that binds to BTK and a ligand that recruits the cereblon E3 ubiquitin ligase. By bringing BTK into close proximity with the E3 ligase, BGB-16673 induces the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of the BTK protein.
