Mechanism of Action
Oral, highly selective CDK4 inhibitor. Selectively inhibits CDK4 over CDK6, blocking cyclin D–CDK4–mediated Rb phosphorylation and G1/S progression while minimizing CDK6-related neutropenia, potentially improving the therapeutic index over dual CDK4/6 inhibitors in HR+ breast cancer.
