Cobolimab — Investigational Agent
TIM-3 Inhibitor · Phase 2 · GSK
Mechanism of Action
Cobolimab is an investigational humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody targeting the T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin-domain containing-3 (TIM-3) receptor. TIM-3 is an inhibitory receptor expressed on various immune cells, including CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells, and its interaction with ligands like galectin-9 mediates immune suppression. By blocking TIM-3, cobolimab aims to reverse T-cell exhaustion and enhance anti-tumor activity. It is frequently evaluated in combination with PD-1 inhibitors to overcome resistance mechanisms.
