Mechanism of Action
Selective inhibitor of the Werner (WRN) helicase that induces synthetic lethality in microsatellite-instability-high/mismatch-repair-deficient cancers, which are uniquely dependent on WRN-mediated unwinding of DNA secondary structures at expanded repeats; inhibition causes selective DNA-damage-driven death of MSI-H cells.
