Iomab-B — Investigational Agent
Radiopharmaceutical · NDA/BLA Submitted · Actinium Pharmaceuticals
Mechanism of Action
Iomab-B consists of apamistamab, a monoclonal antibody targeting CD45, conjugated to the radioisotope Iodine-131. CD45 is expressed on nearly all white blood cells, including leukemia blasts, but not on non-hematopoietic tissues. By delivering high-energy beta radiation directly to the bone marrow and lymphoid tissues, Iomab-B enables the ablation of leukemic cells and the patient's own bone marrow. This targeted conditioning regimen allows for subsequent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) with reduced systemic toxicity compared to total body irradiation.
Investigational Indications
- Relapsed or refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) conditioning for HSCT in older adults
