Mechanism of Action
IOV-4001 is a genetically engineered tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy in which the PDCD1 gene encoding PD-1 is inactivated using precision gene editing. Removing PD-1 is designed to render the autologous TIL product resistant to checkpoint-mediated exhaustion and enhance anti-tumor persistence.
