Mechanism of Action
Human IgG2 monoclonal antibody that binds and neutralizes transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta), primarily the TGF-beta1 and TGF-beta2 isoforms. TGF-beta drives tumor immune evasion, T-cell exclusion, and a dense desmoplastic stroma characteristic of pancreatic cancer. By neutralizing TGF-beta, NIS793 is intended to remodel the tumor microenvironment and enhance responses to chemotherapy and PD-1 blockade (spartalizumab).
Investigational Indications
- First-line metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (with chemotherapy +/- spartalizumab)
- Metastatic colorectal cancer (second line, combination cohorts)
