Mechanism of Action
Obecabtagene autoleucel (obe-cel) is an autologous CD19-directed chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy. It features a unique "fast-off" CD19-binding domain (derived from the FMC63 antibody but modified) that has a lower affinity for the CD19 antigen compared to standard CAR-T products like tisagenlecleucel. This kinetic profile allows the CAR-T cells to bind to target cells, initiate a cytotoxic response, and then rapidly dissociate.
