Mechanism of Action
First-in-class oral inhibitor of the creatine transporter SLC6A8 (CKB pathway). By blocking creatine uptake, ompenaclid disrupts the energetic (ATP-buffering) advantage exploited by colorectal cancer cells, impairing tumor metabolism and growth, with activity enriched in RAS-mutant disease.
