Osemitamab — Investigational Agent
Monoclonal Antibody · Phase 2 · Transcenta Therapeutics
Mechanism of Action
Osemitamab (TST001) is a high-affinity humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody against Claudin18.2, engineered with reduced fucosylation to enhance antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity. It binds CLDN18.2 exposed on gastric and pancreatic adenocarcinoma cells and recruits NK cells and macrophages to mediate ADCC and antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis, and also induces complement-dependent cytotoxicity. Its higher affinity and afucosylation are intended to allow activity against tumors with lower CLDN18.2 expression than first-generation antibodies. It is being combined with chemotherapy…
