Mechanism of Action
A selective small-molecule inhibitor of MCL-1, an anti-apoptotic BCL-2 family protein that sequesters pro-apoptotic BH3 proteins. By blocking MCL-1, PRT1419 releases BAK/BAX to trigger intrinsic apoptosis in MCL-1-dependent myeloid and B-cell malignancies, including those resistant to BCL-2 inhibition.
