PRT2527 — Investigational Agent
Other · Phase 1 · Prelude Therapeutics
Mechanism of Action
Highly selective ATP-competitive inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (CDK9). CDK9 drives RNA polymerase II C-terminal domain phosphorylation and transcriptional elongation of short-lived oncoproteins (notably MCL1 and MYC). Selective CDK9 inhibition depletes these survival proteins, inducing apoptosis in transcriptionally addicted hematologic malignancies while sparing off-target CDK activity.
