Serplulimab — Investigational Agent
Monoclonal Antibody · Approved Abroad / Investigational in US · Shanghai Henlius Biotech
Mechanism of Action
Humanized anti-PD-1 IgG4 monoclonal antibody. Serplulimab binds programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) on T cells and blocks its interaction with the ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2, releasing PD-1-mediated inhibition of the immune response and restoring T-cell-mediated antitumor activity. As with other PD-1 checkpoint inhibitors, this reactivation of effector T cells underlies both its antitumor efficacy and its characteristic immune-related adverse events.
