Mechanism of Action
Vusolimogene oderparepvec is an oncolytic herpes simplex virus type 1 (based on a clinical strain) engineered for enhanced tumor selectivity and potency. It preferentially replicates in and lyses tumor cells, and is armed to express a fusogenic glycoprotein (GALV-GP R-) that induces immunogenic cell-to-cell fusion, plus GM-CSF to stimulate dendritic-cell recruitment and systemic anti-tumor immunity.
